Restaurant Type: a take out restaurant, however there are 4 stools if one wants to eat in. Very small, no more then 10 people can be in there at a time without it cramping anyones style

Insiders Tips:

- the large isn't much bigger then the small, so save yourself some money and buy the small

- rated only 2/5 stars for consistency because the first time I was there they did not have as many things on the menu as they do now; therefore second time around it was a better experience

Restaurant Type: the marketing for this restaurant is great. The interior is dark with red and black as the main colours. Not very welcoming to have a sit down meal, but like any "fast food" restaurant it's meant to get in and out. Seats maybe 15 to 20.

Insiders Tips:
- with the bbq plates you can pick from: bbq pulled pork or beef brisket or pulled chicken
- with the bbq plates you can pick from 2 sides: mac & cheese, garden salad, dirty rice, handcut fries, sweet potato chips, cole slaw, pit beans, potato salad or chili
- all plates are served with cole slaw & corn bread
- the mac and cheese is very dry, and has no chorizo sausage like menu reads, and tastes some what gritty
- the chili is a smoke house chili and it is very tasty

Restaurant Type: the vibe was: it's a place where all the locals go, and a place to go if you are craving for a great home cooked meal (but without the hassel of doing it at home)

Insiders Tips:
- it's always going to be packed at this place, so don't let the packed parking lot turn you away; only a 5 to 10 minute wait once you get in the door
- there isn't anything fancy about this place, the dips and sauces come out in plastic 2oz deli tubs, and the decor isn't exactly the greatest, but if you are looking for a great meal at a great price this is the place to go.

Restaurant Type: A place you can go in your joggers and not feel out of place. Great restaurant to have friend chats. Serves up great comfort food.


Insiders Tips:
- go with the Darrell fries if you never experienced them; they are a must. Ask for cajun mayo on the side for extra goodness ($.75 extra)

- if fries aren't your thing, then their house salad is very tasty; a chopped salad which is hard to find in Halifax

- don't let the "club wrap" make you think "it's just a club... I don't want a boring club", because it's not just a club. Nothing screams comfort like this fresh tasting treat, a great choice for your first time Darrell's experience
